I still don't know why they don't put a Cantina in there with bar food and characters like Stormtroopers and Greedo walking around. That would cool. You could even have an AA band.

First sign that there WILL be SWW's in '07 - one of the give aways listed for Year of a Million Dreams (posted on mousesavers.com) says . . . "24 Star Wars Weekend Meet 'n Greets with one or more of the celebrities (winner and up to 3 guests). It doesn't say if it will be for WDW or DL, though.
If DNeph and I win it, we'll be posting for 2 other DISers to join us - it would have been awesome to meet Rick McCallum last year (who we did get to see at AKL and share a safari with, but we did not approach him out of respect to his family time) - maybe this trip we'll win and get those pics and autographs !!

You really have made me smile for the first time today and shown me a glimer of hope!! I really hope that they extend the SWW right through to the end of June (you never know). We were unlucky getting holiday allowed at work and unfortuantely have had to book the last week of june/1st week july for our holiday in 2007 so I was gutted to say the least that I was missing star wars weekend again (I missed it by a few days last time i went WDW).

Hopefully there is a little truth in this rumour - in fact I may phone up disney and ask them right now - i'll let you know what they say???

Any news on the Star Wars weekends 07? We're going in May and are big Star Wars fans. I wonder when they will announce the plans?

They better not move it to DL for 2007. Grandma buying us annual passes for Christmas so I already booked rooms for weekend of May 17 figuring for Star Wars as a suprise for DS's 11th b-day. He loves SW. This has to happen for my son. Plus it's an excuse to go to Disney.

There is a rumor (not confimred by disney) that Star Wars Weekends '07 may be moved to Disneyland to conincide with Star Wars Celebration IV. Celebration IV is scheduled for Los Angeles during the Memorial Day weekend.

Surely they could manage to do it both places somehow. We enjoyed it this year, and didn't see everything -- would like to try again next May/June (especially with the Blue Man Group coming to Universal in early June).

Cannot confirm... All I know is the SWW usually take place the last two weekends of May and the first two of June..... Usually the dates come out in January or February with the guest list appearing in March or April...

I hope that they don't move them to June, since DDad refuses to get Annual Passes and our Seasonal Passes are blocked out then. If that happens, I'm buying my own tickets and going solo. (Pun not intended.)

Mark would be a stetch, as he doesn't like to travel (I think he just moved from NY to LA), but if DL does do something, he might be there. Best to my knowledge, SW Weekends are confirmed for 2007 at WDW, and DL is looking to do something the week leading up to Celebration IV in LA.

For June 2007, Star Wars Weekends are listed for Disney-MGM Studios. There are not any specific dates listed. Wonder if this means that Star Wars weekends will not be occurring during May?
