Star Wars Trilogy...Full or Wide Screen

I'm getting this for DS Tuesday and I was wondering which is best Full or Wide Screen, why?
Anyone else looking forward to this DVD?

Widescreen, definatly. You miss so much when you buy full screen!

Wide. Full loses about 1/3 or more of the picture as originally made.

Lots of ads in paper and Net, this seems to be lowest I have seen. May be lower, but have not come across. $39.99 seems good. I will be getting it, not interested in the newer ones, they lost me big time.

Wide it is. I was going to get Full, so I'm glad I asked!

LOL Dan, I thought I was the only one that didn't understand the latter of the Star Wars Movies. I go see them when they come out to be a good sport, but I'm truly lost in the saga!

Those are great comparisons. I looked at TLOTR ex. and you couldn't even see Sam in the Full screen. Nothing but Wide screen for us from now on!

The only good argument I have ever heard for pan and scan is that it works well for people with small TV screens. Wide screen on a small TV can be too small to watch. Other than that, its widescreen all the way.

Widescreen. I can't even imagine buying anything full screen. Full screen cuts off parts of the sides of the film. Widescreen, you see the entire shot as it appeared in the theater.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddeeeee is the way to go. Even if you don't like it now, you will eventually have a 16x9 TV. Think of it as an investment for the future
