Is the equipment heavy/cumbersome for a kid? My son will be 10, but is somewhat small for his age. He'll be fine, right?

My DS10 just did it about a week and a half ago. He is 4'8" and about 88 lbs. and he was fine. There were children there who were smaller than him as well. I believe the only requirement is that children be at least 10 years old and 48" tall. The staff will help him adjust the equipment to fit as best it can.

I also haven't heard about this yet. Just told DH about it and we're going to sign the boys up as a surprise. They are going to LOVE this! Doesn't look like you can buy tickets past Feb. 14th, so I'll have to keep an eye on that.

Hah! I just reserved for next Monday with my 22-year-old son. We caught DisneyQuest one last time two years ago. Glad we can geek out about something still.

Thanks for all of this information everyone - I'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether or not I should book it for my next trip, and I think you've all convinced me! DBF LOVES Star Wars so I think this will be perfect for him (don't get me wrong, I enjoy SW too but he's particularly nerdy about it all )

How do they know if they are 10 yo or not? Our niece will be a month away from being 10 but she’s very tall and mature for a 9 yo. Will she be okay?

The Void only knows what you tell them when you fill in the birthdates of each participant when you sign in and sign the waiver. I know someone who took his 8.75 yo, 51" tall, 60 pound son (but indicated that his son was 10). The Void workers didn't even flinch.

@rteetz bought his tickets as soon as tickets became available online. I think he’s already signed off for tonight... he’s running the Marathon tomorrow!

Jumping in here—-we did this during Christmas week and it was SO much fun. We did order the tickets ahead of time. When we were there they said they were booked and not taking anymore walk ups at the time, but of course, we were there during a busy time
