Not sure if this has been addressed already, but is Disney planning anything special for the Star Wars premiere? We will be there during that time in December and were wondering if anything would happening?

oh, had never considered this. you would think so, or even an event next summer like the frozen stuff.

I am excited and nervous all at the same time about this release. I, like many others, have quite litterally grown up with the Star Wars Trilogy. The question is, will it live up to the "Hype"? Ok, so there has not been a lot of hype about it, and maybe that's the issue. If they hype it too much and it's a flop (although with J.J. Abrams involved, I hope not), then it could be a double sinker if they put too much into a grand event. The flip side of course, is if they don't put the effort in, then people may assume it's going to be a dud anyway and forcing it down that path.

Just glad the only decisions I have to make are to see it or not. :)

I think that most of the hype is coming from fans. I'm trying to stay as blasé about it as possible and not expect anything on the level of A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back. It's hard not to hope though.

When Episode 1 came out, my daughter wanted to start watching. I told her she needed to watch 4, 5 and 6 first (although she didn't).

I think anyone who doesn't watch them in the order in which they were produced might end up missing a lot because the technology to create these movies is so different. So while Episode 1 is a prequeal (SP?) it's got better technology and graphics than episode 4 which happens afterwards.

Ah well, we'll see what 7 has to offer us.

Nothing as of yet for the parks.

We always like to go to DTD for the Disney premieres. Now I just need to know when I can order my tickets...gonna be a frenzy!!

The movie is released the day we leave the USA to come home to Australia. I hope that there is something exciting about it in Disney on the days leading up to the release. We'd love to see lots of starwars characters walking around.
