My youngest is a huge star wars fan and would love to do this. How do you get selected? Is there a fast pass option to get him in for sure?

Be there at rope drop and heading to sign up first thing is the best way. Your son needs to be with you when you sign him up. No FPs for this.

He has to be between the ages of 4-12 in order to sign up in the Sounds Dangerous building as soon as you enter the park. The CM will ask him some questions and then he will be assigned a time that fits your Fp+ schedule.

If you will not be an onsite resort guest, be sure to do this on a non-EMH day as most slots will be filled by onsite resort guests during that first EMH hour.

No fastpass, you sign up for it near the American Idol building. It's first come first served and has quite limited numbers and is very popular. Most people would say get there first even before getting FP for TSM (in the old days of FP- that is). The child has to be with you and I have heard mention that sometime proof of age may be required (think its 4-12, not sure about that). Your return time could be a number of hours after you sign up. Oh and don't forget Star Tours, he'll love that and the Photopass (or whatever its called now) people can do a 'magic' shot of him fighting Darth Vader

Excellent point, never thought of that :thumbsup2

Awesome! Thank you so much! He will be 8 and Star Tours is definitely on the agenda! :cool1:

Ok my 8 year old really wants to do this, but I'm a total newbie and this is our first trip. We are staying at Fort Wilderness. What is EMH?

Extra Magic Hour = onsite resort guests enter the designated EMH park one hour before regular park opening.

If you can swing the cost, get the first seating for breakfast at Hollywood and Vine ( it's the playhouse disney character buffet) on a non-EMH day. The restaurant is halfway to the sign up area for Jedi Training. Pay as soon as you're seated, then keep an eye on the "street" outside. When you see that they have started letting people into the park head over to the sign up area.
