If they did put a SW land in DHS they should make a rollercoaster the size of BTMRR and make the ride vehicles into Speederbikes. The theming around you could have a lot of trees to make it feel like you are riding through Endor!

Now that Disney is going to have Star War who else thinks they should invest in a "Star Wars Land" instead of the planned "Avatar Land" at AK.

I think stars wars would be such a a huge attraction - WOW!!!!

I actually went there too and thought of Naboo. They have what was supposed to be a planet based on balance amongst people and nature elements so I could see it. They could go off the deep end and introduce all these interstellar animals, etc. and it could introduce a whole new world of animals.

What I'd really like to see is the cantina as a quick service. It would be cool!

Forget the rumors about a CarsLand and/or expanded Pixar Place at DHS....bring on the Star Wars Universe! Imagine what they could do with the backlot spaces at DHS. I can't wait--two of my favorite things are officially one!

That person is the OP. The entire purpose of this thread is based upon their suggestion that Avatarland should be swapped for Star Wars. In AK.

I am all for putting more SW attractions in DHS and containing the Lucas brand there. Since it's my least favorite park it's no loss to me if its taken over by a franchise I can't stand!

At least you're not against Star Wars expansion and understand that. I'm not excited about the Fantasy Land expansion at MK since I'm a guy and have no interest anything they built except maybe the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train if its big enough and not a kids roller coaster but I know they have other people that will love the Fantasy Land expansion including my nieces/sis/mom but making a Star Wars land/area with more rides will make my nephews/Bil/Dad and myself happy and my nieces/sis will like any thrill rides they put in. So this will make something for boys is what it comes down to for me.

If Star Wars invaded my beloved Animal Kingdom, I would cry.

I'm indifferent to Avatar as a film, but at least it makes more 'sense' with AK and isn't a franchise that has been shoved down my throat for the 30 years I've been alive!

I'm sorry that you were tied down and forced to watch all the Star Wars movies but you should have called the cops since someone held you against your will and made you watch all the Star Wars movies. See I can be over dramatic too

I agree that it would fit better at DHS but in I was basing the OP on the fact that avatar land is already on the books. I can see a tie in. They already have dinosaurs at AK and SW has animals in it (sorta - but not "real").

I just think SW would be a much better investment and a much larger draw.

There are so many SW fans out there that it would be huge if done right.

I 100% agree that both parks need something. Avatar at AK and SW at DHS would be perfect.

I agree but SW should be done at DHS before Avatar is done at AK. They should wait on Avatar until at least one more Avatar movie comes out to see if people are going to see it. The first movie was a hit because of all the special effects, new 3D technology and it was so hyped. Wait and see how people react to the second movie. Also the animals in Avatar aren't real either

I'm actually more excited about aquiring the indy jones franchise. Indy jones is an awesome attraction at disneyland and i feel deserves more attention by disney. The stunt show at dhs is neat but not somethi g we like to repeat over and over like other attractions. I would love to something more dine with indy. A large themed play area like the one in california adventure but based on indy. A mine coaster ride based on temple of doom.

As far as starwars. Thus would be a great time to add a land or multiple attractions and pull out all the stops on latest and greatest in high tech wizardry for attractions. Just adding 3d and HD to the starwarsattraction at dhs isnt that impressive in my book

This is the best news I have heard & my whole family would love it. We just got back from WDW & are at the point of not visiting as often, waiting prob 3+ yrs b4 returning again. Having Star Wars play a big role at the parks will be a huge draw for my boys, since they aren't into pirates or cars.
We had a chance to see the new Fantasyland area while there & my boys could have cared less. They kept asking to leave b/c they wanted to do sorcerer of the kingdom instead.
