I am currently hiding from my Star Wars-loving boyfriend that Hyperspace Mountain won't be a thing when we visit DL for the first time in late October (he'll be crushed!! :(). However, beyond Star Tours, will there still be other Star Wars stuff to do/see/buy in Tomorrowland?! If I have to break it to him that Space Mountain (his fav WDW attraction) will be Ghost Galaxy, I'd like to pad my bad news that at least there will be other Star Ward things to look forward to!! I'd appreciate any information or insights anyone has. TIA!!

I don't think Star Trader will ever not have Star Wars merchandise again. It's been that way since long before the new Star Tours or anything else moved into TL.

As RichP1269 mentioned, Launch Bay. For a Star Wars fan it's pretty cool in there. Lots of really neat things to look at, my DH loved it! The meet n greet with Kylo Ren is great, he was so good, I was even a bit creeped out lol.

Star Tours, Launch Bay, and the meet and greets are all great for a Star Wars fan. I agree with @Imdboss that Kylo Ren was creepy (but awesome). Chewie and Boba Fett are fun too. Oh and you can get a Tie Fighter popcorn bucket. :teeth:

Honestly, as a big Star Wars fan I wasn't that impressed with Hyperspace Mountain. Actually, it has the same problems as Ghost Galaxy in that the additional projections feel tacked on and too bright (as in you can see the square of light around them). I think Space Mountain is best in its normal state. The Star Wars music was fun though. Also, if your BF is a fan SM in WDW prepare him for the fact that the DL one is very different. Many like it better, but I don't.

So you like regular Space Mountain better than Hyperspace Mountain, and you like WDW Space Mountain better than DL Space Mountain? I think you have that quadrant on the chart to yourself.

Possibly. I just wasn't impressed with the overlay with it's tiny star destroyers and such. The projections make it too obvious. Ghost Galaxy has the same problem, and it was something I was very excited about because I love the concept, just disappointed in the execution.

I like the WDW SM better because of the grander scale and better themeing. Granted the ride is a bit rougher and slower (it's basically the Matterhorn under the hood), but just the scale of it, the entryway with the Star Tunnel music, the physical props on the lift hill...I dunno, for me it just works better. The DL one seems tiny by comparison.

Kinda bummed they took the Star Wars off space mountain...much more interesting that "Halloween" space mountain.

Light up ice cubes at Tomorrowland terrace- millennium falcon and Death Star. We didn't like either lemonade but love the ice cubes!
