Star Wars Half Marathon ** Check In ** January 14-17, 2016

Ordered a new sparkle skirt to wear so my outfits are set! Its getting sooo close! No running for me right now. I have a cold and I'm really trying to baby it so that it clears up quickly. I'm sure I'll be back to running in a week or less. Hopefully this weekend.

I got mine from www.sparkleskirts.com they have shorts underneath and pockets and I love them! If you just want a sparkly skirt to go over shorts or capris then try www.sparkleathletic.com as theres dont have shorts so they're cheaper!

Not sure if you wear them or not, but somebody posted in a fb group that either sweaty bands or sparkly soul is releasing a couple SW bands. One was R2D2, but couldn't see the other one.

Well, changed my hotel.

I had been at Anabella, then we switched to Desert Palms because we liked their free breakfast.

Then I heard that Anabella will be demolished to make way for some "luxury" type of resort and we've been sad ever since. Tonight DH mentioned going back to Anabella for one last stay. This makes me sad, but since the conversation went along with looking at the Winter AP rate at PPH for the last two nights, we compromised.

So 4 nights at Anabella to say goodbye and 2 nights starting on the 17th at PPH just because.

And hey, our walks to the 5K and 10K start will be a touch closer. And it takes away from the "we can't eat breakfast elsewhere because we get it included with our room" issue I was encountering (especially after I reminded myself of the Whitewater Snacks breakfast!).

Hmm. Interesting day to be trying to check in to PPH early LOL. Oopsie. We'll be sure to stop by the hotel one of the days before to ask for the best method to get there that morning.

I am getting better thank! Took a whole week off. Did 4 miles on Sunday. I'll do 3 tonight. Planning on 11 or so over the weekend. And no I didn't see the fb group post about those...I gotta go look for the R2D2 one now!

I thought I had all my plans worked out, but getting access to early mornings for the end of the trip has changed things. Gotta revamp.

Help me plan for the expo.
We get in late on Thursday night so Friday is my only option. Expo opens at noon. I'm traveling with my mom and kids so we'll be at the parks in the morning and I'll leave them there when I go to the expo. Ideally I don't want to be away from them for too long which basically means I don't want to go to the expo and get stuck waiting for an hour before I can get into the official merch area. What time should I head to the expo? I preordered my pins so I'm safe there. I love seeing the official merchandise but I usually don't buy more than maybe a shirt and necklace. I put some money aside for a jacket this time just in case but really I'm ok if I don't get any of it. What time should I plan on getting to the expo to avoid long lines?

Since the Expo is opening late that day, I would expect the lines to be VERY long for the first few hours at least. Later in the afternoon it usually dies down, but prepare for some (many) things to be sold out.

We did Friday expo for the Avengers and got there about 1:00 pm if I remember correctly. There wasn't a line for bibs or merchandise and it seemed like there was plenty of items left from what I was looking through (of course the only things I wants, medal replica pins for the challenge and 10k weren't made for that race!) but I know Star Wars themed anything gets a little more crazy than other stuff!
