Resort Thread STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

I had read somewhere that there would be continuous shuttles back and forth with the last transport back to the Starcruiser at 4:00 pm.

This is correct and it's what the Starcruiser Specialist told us when we booked. He said to ensure we didn't make any reservations in the park after about 2:30 to leave time to make it.
There is WAY too much assumption of rigidity in this thread. Guests still control their experience. It's not like if you don't follow an itinerary to the letter that a Wookiee's going to come out and drag you to it or something.

It’s not wise to upset a Wookiee. 😀

Again, I know it's ludicrous to pay all this money and then wander off to ride Swirling Saucers or go see Little Mermaid, but if that's what you really wanted to do....?

Even if you need a Star Wars break, don't try to see the Little Mermaid show in Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's been closed for more than a year.

That shows you how much I pay attention to it. 😉

I thought it had re-opened, but I think I must have been thinking about Beauty & the Beast. That one did re-open, right?

LOL, I think this would actually be a great selling point for many and probably more inline with what some were expecting.

Honestly, that’s not such a bad idea at all.

Not the “dragging” part, but, like, if you were scheduled to be back on the ship at a certain time, but decided to dilly-dally in GE for an extra hour or two, a FO Stormtrooper would approach you and ask why you deviated from the schedule.

Unless you were outfitted in blaze orange it would be difficult for a CM to pick a Galactic Starship guest out of a crowd. Even if they were wearing a lanyard with some type of identification, it would not be obvious. This is why it would be nice if the guests had after hours time in which it would clear they were cruiser passengers.

Everyone gets MagicBands. I will bet that they take pictures of everyone when you check in, too, just like on a RL cruise ship.

They will know what you look like, and they will know if/when you have an Oga’s/Savi’s/Droid Depot reservation. They will know when (and where) you are in-line for MFSR and RotR. They’ll know when you’re eating at CB7 or shopping in Dok’s.

They won’t be able to get to everyone, but on the whole, they *will* be able to find you if they want.

Or even simpler - they could just watch for guests wearing the GSC MB. They could approach you, scan your band to get your identity and “ask you a few questions.”

I am wondering about the availabilty for parking close to the Starship.
It does not look like they have parking garage or a parking lot.
I see the valet drop off in front of the hotel And wonder where the car is kept during your visit. And what about luggage if you are staying before & after. I hope they are not utilizing parking at Disney Springs for this out of the world voyage… But I think the transport is far more questionable than just the “ wording” they are using currently.
Best to really plan this in specific detail to avoid disappointment .
I would be asking a lot of questions to avoid confusion.
Good luck Starbelievers . If only we believed in Magic We’d get by .

They “will” eventually, but considering Disney IT has no way to determine if you leave a park or not until you check in to another activity elsewhere (or pass something that nabs you like RocknRoller Coaster), it would still be a daunting job.

You don't think there are RF readers (both long and short range) that nab you all over GE? I'd almost guarantee you, for example, that they (can) know who is inside Dok's at any given moment.

Again, they are not going to be able to track everyone at all times, but that sample itinerary does include a "story moment" on Batuu, so I am guessing they have some way to peg cruisers while in GE.

Oh, yes, they can nab you in GE. They can nab you elsewhere in the park. When you’re in line for RnR, they have the concert posters that list cities and names of people standing in line, same for Star Tours. People are not limited to GE is what I’m saying. If someone wanted to head over to Brown Derby Lounge and grab a Margarita flight, check out a calvacade on Hollywood Blvd, or take a quick ride on the skyliner for some garlic fries at the Riviera, there is nothing stopping them. There are places where you won’t be tracked. I can’t believe everyone will stay in the tiny area that is GE, especially those who have been there several times. Unless they offer something extra-new and exciting that I haven’t seen before, when we go, I won’t be staying in that one area.

I thought they were giving us “I’m Staying on the Starcruiser and You’re Not” shirts to wear on our excursion to Batuu? Could have sworn that’s what the phone CM said.

(Just kidding)

But in seriousness, they can come track me down if they want to - I’ll be at Baseline, so not far. :goodvibes

I’ll join you if you’ll share a flight and a pretzel.

I don't see why the guests can't stay until park closing and then take an uber back to the starcruiser if that is what they want to do. But like noted, Starcruiser guests are probably missing out on some activities back at the "ship" to spend the full day at DHS.

I am sure they can. If you show up at the front of the hotel in an Uber, I can’t see them saying, “No, you can’t come in.”

If that is what someone wants to do, then more power to them. However if that is what they really want to do, honestly I would have to question the wisdom of them booking this experience in the first place...
