Hi Guys,

Jess and I went to see Star Wars - Episode II last night and it is superb. Highly recommended for everyone. Its one of those films you just have to see in the cinema. Great effects, great sound, great story, great film.

Has anyone else seen it yet??

Went last night, I enjoyed the film, although we had poor seats. Front row on the side :( , still as it was opening week and I just turned up at the cimema I guess I was lucky to get a seat at all ( only 5 left) . I may well go later in the year and get better seats.

DS went on Thursday evening and came home full of it! He had tried to get us tickets too but they had sold out, he went with 26 friends!!!! He (bless, at age 25) took his Light Sabre????

They had all agreed to take them but when it came to the crunch, James was the only one who turned up with his - he was going to leave it in the car, but got talked round (and I dont think it took much to be honest) to taking it in with him. When the film started, you know, with the familiar tune and it comes up Lucasfilm presents.......... He switched it on and waved it in the air and got the most humungous roar of applause and cheers - made him feel good.

He said the film was brilliant - wouldnt tell us anything about it because we are all great fans and we want to see it as soon as I get back from holiday - but he is going again next week.

So funny Janice - good for him!!

DH and I went to see it last Thursday and we both thought it was great. It is much better than the first one and they are tying it in well to the older films. There are some slow bits but the action makes up for it.

The only daft bit we thought was the scene near the end with Yoda - I won't give anything away to those that haven't seen it yet

Otherwise very good film - and yes go to the cinema to see it as it will lose a lot on the small screen.

We saw it two days ago. I agree - the scene with Yoda actually drew loads of laughs from the audience even though this is supposed to be a serious scene. I thought the scenes with 'Annie' and Padme were a little too drippy and tedious although I realise they had to build up the romance. The special effects were well done even if the story is a bit thin. I think the next one will be the best because it will tie up a lot of loose ends.

Saw it with my mom and sisters the other day. Much better than Episode I. We also thought the part with Yoda was a bit much.

Special effects and music were great !!!!

Saw it on Saturday. I love Episode 1 despite all the slatings it received. I even love Jar Jar!

I was a tiny bit disappointed with this latest offering. Great effects, and a couple of good tie-ins to 'later' (earlier?) episodes, but no plot whatsoever.

Surely the bit with Yoda is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek - how else could they have done it? I won't spoil it for those who've yet to see it, but there are definitely a couple of jokes surrounding it.

I couldn't help feeling it was a 'filler' movie - building up the scene for the next one. Nonetheless, I'm sure I'll be buying the DVD the day it's released and watching it over and over!
