Star wars easter eggs Pics included

How hot did you have to get the water up to boiling, I tried doing this tonight I couldn't get them to melt onto the egg... we did the coloring ant the stickers though.

I am glad to see that I wasn't the only one who couldn't get these darn things to shrink onto the eggs. :( I got DS the kit & he tried to act like it wasn't a big deal...but it was! I heated the water in the microwave. Maybe they work better on the stove?

the was almost boiling
I placed the plastic cut out on the egg and dipped it the water then took it out
they melted on quick

the kids had a blast, especially the older one he LOVES star wars and it was great ! They are so excited for tomorrow I cant wait to see there faces in the morning. The bunnys hiding all their eggs tonight. :rotfl2:

I will have DS try this again with the water boiling on the stove tomorrow after dinner. :)

those are cool! For us, it was just plain old red, blue, orange, purple, yellow, green eggs!

Thanks for posting this! My older son, the kid who actually eats eggs, can't have dye. He dyes the eggs but can't eat them.

This is a much better option-and I bookmarked the company's website for next year, but I think I'll be hitting WalMart and Target in the next week to see if I can track some down to put away.

Your boys are soooo cute, and it's obvious they loved what you got them!

I'd like to show them the R2-D2 cake we're going to make for older son's birthday in 10 days. Younger son was given my mom's cake pans and one was a slot machine. He looked at it and realized he could modify it to R2 easily. Both kids are Star Wars nuts, lol.

We had the same kit and put the eggs with the sleeves in a pyrex cup and popped it into the microwave for 15 seconds and they turned out great!

We had the same kit too! Your kids look like they're having a blast.

DS and DH sat at breakfast this morning "playing" with the eggs. Yoda and Darth Vader battled it out while R2 and CP3O did the play by play. DS had a blast using the stickers to create a storyline on the rest of the eggs.

As far as the plastic sleeves, as the water cooled the plastic didn't shrink enough. I just reheated it in the microwave and dropped them back in the hotter water and they were fine.

Just too dang cute! The looks on your kids faces are just priceless!

Thanks for sharing!

We did this kit last year! They turned out so great and DS loved them (3 at the time). We also colored ours after putting the wraps on so Yoda was green, C3P0 was yellow!

Of course DS insisted on leaving them out to look at forever so we never ate them!
