Star Wars Day at Sea.....and Port...and Castaway Cay?

As I said "Unless it has radically changed" which apparently it has. They are also not listed "Prince & Princess in Enchanted Garden", etc. on Scott's Disney Cruise Line Blog - so you should probably yell at him too.

Well, he's not here. :)

But if you go to the Prince & Princess page, he does explain that it's always in Enchanted Garden (on the Fantasy) on the 2nd/3rd night, depending on where you have Pirates. And he explains the Animation Magic situation, too.

Gotcha. No wonder the Fantasy is my least favorite. There is no reason to make it so complicated. (Actually it's kind of the whole ship. I hate Aladdin, I prefer the themeing on the Dream, etc. Though I'm not overly impressed with what we've seen of the Wish, so they may be in a tie for last when I give her a try.)

I like the Dream better, too. But I don't get to decide which ships go where and my parents wanted to see the Virgin Islands. So, Fantasy it is! And I get to do a Star Wars Day at Sea, which is new to me, so it's all good. :)

Gotcha. Star Wars actually sends me running the other way (one of the BIG red flags on the Wish for me).

Unless and until other Disney ships start doing the longer cruises, I'll stick with Celebrity for those. :D Advantage of paying my own way - I make my own decisions.

Well, this one is on me, actually. I just let them pick the itinerary because it's their anniversary. And while I prefer regular Disney to Star Wars, I think SWDAS might still be fun!

In 2020 we did a SWDAS with 3 couples, none of which are Star Wars fans...well, I like Star Wars but the other 2 couples could care less. We still had a great time on that cruise. Three weeks later the world shut down

Thanks! I don't know why Disney can't be bothered to just say that on the cruise plans page.

They used to, same with MDAS. Our MDAS in January has zero Marvel info. I would guess they still aren't sure how much of the past MDAS events they will be able to actually do with current protocols.

That's fair enough, but they used to just mark one day as "Pirate's Day" on the plans page. They could do that for SWDAS and MDAS without committing to any specific events.

With Covid on the Halloween cruise, I asked a couple of CMs what night we should dress up and they just said that the "Mouskerade" deck party was happening on two nights and that it would be exactly the same both nights. I think they know that if they said one day was the official "Halloween" day then everyone would want to go then and they wouldn't be able to maintain the distancing they were trying to achieve by offering it multiple nights. That could be what is going on.

I did a 4-night Halloween cruise in September and it was even sillier. The Mousequerade party was scheduled twice, but only once at a normal time. And that was the same day as Pirate day. So, we had a mix of Halloween and Pirates all on one day! Except, the Halloween drinks of the day were the day before. That's when Halloween would have been pre-Covid. Bleh.

Anyway, that strategy doesn't really work for SWDAS/MDAS since it's a ship-wide transformation kind of thing with characters dressed up, a special menu, special trivia games, and so on. The character meet & greets might span three days (apparently), but there's only one real day!

Same with us. We've done 3 SW cruises only because we wanted to do a 7 night cruise in January. The 2020 SW cruise was the first time they did the SW Lightspeed show. We thought it was really fun. That was the only cruise we even got pics with any of the characters.
