Star Wars characters!!!

I know that there is a special week for star wars. That's when you can usally see all the characters of Star Wars. Can I see them when it's not Star Wars Weekend? Like if I go next week, can I see Darth Vader , and can I see Yoda ?

Well, I don't know that I have ever seen Yoda anywhere but Darth Vader usually walks in the Stars and Motor Cars parade at Disney Studios.

yea, i've seen pictures of the parade that were not from star wars weekends, and there was R2-D2, Darth Vader, Anakin, and I think someone else. I've already looked into this too because we are going in March and my stepson is a HUGE star wars fan. I havn't actually heard of anyone getting a pic or autograph when it wasn't star wars weekend, bummer. But you never know. Oh, well I did hear that you could possibly get pics with a stormtrooper.

Taken in September, but it was back in 1997. I also had my picture taken with an Ewok. when I was there last I was told that the characters never are out other than at SW Weekends now, but that same cast member insisted that they never had been. Period. She would know. If I thought differently I must have been confused about the time of year because it NEVER HAPPENED!

In other words, I'd ask, probably several different people in the general area over a couple of days.

Darth Vader is a huge attraction at MGM during Star Wars Weekends. He's usually in one of the buildings (in the shade & AC) with a LONG line of people waiting to take photos with him. This year it was at the far end of the "Millionaire" building.

I've only seen yoda during the parade riding in a car. I've never seen him out and about having pics taken. And that was several years ago I saw him in the parade.

I think the Star Wars weekends are in May. We have never gone to any.

But we did see Darth, R2D2, Luke and Leia in the Stars and Motorcars parade at MGM. My son also got very lucky and saw Darth when he wasn't in the parade and got a picture! Darth was so huge in person and my son (who was talking all tough earlier) was speechless when he saw him. He was trying to thank Darth for the picture and no words were coming out of his moving lips! I'll never forget it!!!!

We saw Darth Vadar the last week of June this year, I believe it was on June 26th. There was a line for pictures near the Star Tours shop. He doesn't sign autographs. The handler told us that the Storm Troppers were "patrolling" the park as well and that we could stop them for a picture but there wouldn't be a line for them. I am trying to attached the photo, let's see if it works.

Star War weekends ended on June 10 and 11 this year. It was my first time at MGM during that occasion.

You can only see the Star Wars characters during the SW weekends.

While I was working at Studios (I left the program about a week before Star Wars Weekends started), I only saw a SW character brought into the park once. Star Tours had broken down for a considerable amount of time and there was a large group waiting outside for it to open back up. They had Darth Vader come out to interact with the crowd while they were working on Star Tours.

As far as I know, they don't have the Star Wars characters ever scheduled to come out, but you can always ask a CM (especially one at Star Tours) just in case. I saw plenty of times where characters would appear in the park on both a regular basis without it being printed in the Times Guide and at random. You really never know for sure. Bottom line, I'd say you're most likely out of luck, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

It's possible you might see Darth Vader, but not likely at this time of year. I've certainly not seen him recently and I go to the parks at least once a month.

I wanted to add that we saw Darth (not in the Star and motorcars parade) last year in SEPTEMBER! So there is always hope. Hang out around Star Tours and the gift shop - you may get lucky!!

We saw Darth Vadar last September. He was on the balcony looking down at the the Star Wars shop. Most people walked right by him without noticing. We were lucky and were able to get a picture of my DS with him.

I haven't heard of Star Wars characters being at MGM other than during the Star Wars weekends. We went to our first Star Wars weekend this May - it was really fun. DH and I are huge SW fans! The parade was awesome and there were lots of people dressed up in SW costumes (although it was pretty darn hot - I can't believe what extensive get-ups some folks, even kids, were in). There was also a film attraction about SW and the Jedi Academy during that time. However, the Star Tours ride and the store were absolutely packed, you could hardly move in the store!

I would love to see some of the Star Wars characters!!! I know they can be seen during the Star Wars Weekends. I read somewhere that Darth Vader was out during a non Star Wars weekend, but that it didn't last for very long.
