What do you think? I remember hearing and reading that there will probably be one table service eatery in the new Star Wars area, and another eatery that is based on the cantina in Tatooine that will not be table service, but they didn't really say it would be CS either! I am assuming lots and lots of great theming!

We have not been to WDW since BOG was opened, but it seems kinda complicated and chaotic, as well as more pricey that a typical CS place. That being said, DS will not be denied a meal at one of the Star Wars places if one or both will be opened by the time we go in Jan '17!

Do you think they will set it up more like BOG or more like a typical CS place?

I figured as much, but you know how they do things - fling the CS place up as soon as possible to bring in the moula - hahaha! For me, I will be happy if Pizza Planet is open in its new home by the time we go!

DS will just have to be happy with Backlot Express and its Star Wars menu items!

Hopefully they will go a different route than BOG; we had reservations last year BOG was our biggest disappointment. It doesn't seem chaotic, it literally was a zoo when we went which took a lot from the magic and ambiance of being in the castle.

^^That's what I am afraid of. We typically stay away from the zoo-ish places. We much rather zig when everyone else and their brother are zagging! We have never eaten at Cinderella's castle, and avoid all character dining now (did only Ohana breakfast and Garden Grill when the kids were younger, only because they were never the "top get" for character meals). But like I said, we'll HAVE to do one of the Star Wars places. I would rather just do the CS, so here's hoping they don't use the BOG model for that!

I guess I have been lucky as far as the times I have eaten at BOG (3 times for lunch twice in summer and once in spring). While it has been busy and very crowded I haven't felt that it was a zoo and no more chaotic then any other CS at WDW. Never pre-ordered our meals and have had luck with only searching around for a table for a short time... now ABC Commissary was beyond crazy for me the last time I was there

Doesn't matter if it's going to be TS or CS. From day one it will be packed to the rafters. And anything based on the Cantina is going to be noisy, and probably chaotic.

Thats how it was when we ate at BOG as well, busy, but not chaotic.

I don't see heavily themed eateries built from the ground up in a new "land" making it to open in under 12 months. I think even if WDW soft opens bits and pieces of the new Star Wars areas, it will take a good 18-24 months for anything to happen.
