We were at the launch bay on Monday, Sept 12th and the Jawas were not trading. We were told the same as a PP - the trading items had been ordered, but were delayed so they couldn't trade. The CM seems genuinely apologetic and a tad upset over the shipping issue.
The jawas "enjoy" trading with kids and adults, but they do refuse to trade sometimes, too. We find it helps to build up the item you are trying to trade with. We even traded a packages of iron man Kleenexes!
The Jawas are very confusing to those not extremely familiar with Star Wars. The do NOT like anyone trying to "steal" their picture, but if you ask nicely, they usually oblige (unless there's a line forming). They are much easier to get a picture with than the storm troopers!!!! The Jawas are pretty energetic and flit around the room, not staying in any one place for very long. They are fun to interact, especially for adults, but can be very confusing, too.
Kylo Ren (& Darth Vader when he was there) is VERY intimidating. He's totally in character, which I would describe as being a spoiled brat who thinks he's something he's not - LOL! We have fun with him - my DH acted disappointed when he saw him and loudly said to me "I thought you said we were going to see Darth Vader. This guy certainly isn't Darth Vader.... and never will be!!!!" Another time, we worn various jedi shirts.
We enjoy the Launch Bay, but it can be a quick tour if you're not that into Star Wars.
If you're not into Star Wars, I'd skip it since most of the "humor" will be confusing.
