Star Wars Bay launch

We were at the launch bay on Monday, Sept 12th and the Jawas were not trading. We were told the same as a PP - the trading items had been ordered, but were delayed so they couldn't trade. The CM seems genuinely apologetic and a tad upset over the shipping issue.
The jawas "enjoy" trading with kids and adults, but they do refuse to trade sometimes, too. We find it helps to build up the item you are trying to trade with. We even traded a packages of iron man Kleenexes!
The Jawas are very confusing to those not extremely familiar with Star Wars. The do NOT like anyone trying to "steal" their picture, but if you ask nicely, they usually oblige (unless there's a line forming). They are much easier to get a picture with than the storm troopers!!!! The Jawas are pretty energetic and flit around the room, not staying in any one place for very long. They are fun to interact, especially for adults, but can be very confusing, too.

Kylo Ren (& Darth Vader when he was there) is VERY intimidating. He's totally in character, which I would describe as being a spoiled brat who thinks he's something he's not - LOL! We have fun with him - my DH acted disappointed when he saw him and loudly said to me "I thought you said we were going to see Darth Vader. This guy certainly isn't Darth Vader.... and never will be!!!!" Another time, we worn various jedi shirts. :)

We enjoy the Launch Bay, but it can be a quick tour if you're not that into Star Wars.
If you're not into Star Wars, I'd skip it since most of the "humor" will be confusing.

We are star wars crazy and look forward to Launch Bay and meet and greets.
Just wondering though why Disneyland seems to have a better line up for meet and greets.

No Darth Vader or Boba Fett at Disney World or is it a case of they have been and gone?

Does Chewy and Kylo Ren have a Disney Chase Visa line or is that just at Epcot for Mickey and gang?

Boba Fett is only at Disneyland, but he is not a scheduled meet and greet. You never know when he is going to appear.

We were very impressed with the character meets and there was no wait when we went last week Tuesday. Kyle Ren was incredible--he talks.

We spent quite a bit of time there over several days of our August trip. We watched the movie and did the Chewie and Kylo Meet and Greets twice. We also spent time looking at the movie memorabilia. We traded with the Jawas multiple times, they gave out different parts of the build a droid. Our 8 yr old is a huge SW fan though.

I was at Launch Bay on Wed Sept 14th with a very excited little girl who spent a lot of time gathering trinkets and glittering said trinkets to trade with the Jawas. She went up to the first one who ignored her - then another who also declined - then a cast member said the Jawas weren't trading that day. Apparently they don't trade everyday. I had really wished I hadn't built it up so much with my daughter because she was pretty bummed out about this change of events. We thought they traded everyday.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We traded with them multiple times in August and never saw them turn anyone or anything down.

The visa disney chase experience is with Kylo Ren

For us though (even though no one was was waiting) it was terrible. He was in character to a point but it was so rushed. When we came back to LB we went through the regular M&G line and that interaction was so much better! We spent what felt like 5 minutes in there with him and he loved (as much as Kylo can) the fact that our 8yr old had on a shirt with the death star. We're glad we did the regular line too. Such a better experience!

I have heard about this. What type of stuff do they trade?
I brought some "Shiny" Star War cards (Captain Phasma, Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren) that I obtain from HK Disneyland over to trade with them I also picked a brand new pendant that I don't need anymore. They finally picked the cards.... taking all 3 cards and trade a droid part with me. And obviously they don't want the "Shiny" pendant. So trade or not it really depends on your luck and their mood.

The jawas are not trading anymore. This is being discussed on the official star wars thread. Just an fyi

We were wandering through the back last Sunday when we tripped over the Jawas and one decided my daughter was their queen and did the whole bowing and scraping thing after pointing wildly at her tiara. It was a fun, unexpected moment.

So the Disney Visa Card meet n greet is ONLY Kylo Ren? That's it? I expected more!!

Yes and it's only the Disney Visa CREDIT card. At Epcot you can use credit or debit.

We walked right in a couple weeks ago and was so disappointed. LOVE Vader and Chewie, they are so imposing and big and real. This was like a skinny kid in a costume that was all snooty about us standing next to him for a photo. Snooze.

Yup. We did to when we did it. As I said it wasn't a great meet and greet either. The regular Kylo meet was much better.

The same thing happened to me. I had gone to the dollar store and bought lots of shiny items to trade. Went to HS twice last week and neither time were the Jawas trading. I was really disappointed also.

Do you still get the free photo at the Disney Visa card meet n greets? Or is it just a download?
