Curious is anyone did the Star Wars special event on May 3. I'll be there May 9, when they're doing a second event as the first one got sold out and wondered if it was worth it. TIA!

I went. I thought it was fun. The merchandise was underwhelming considering how long the line for it was (plus the CMs were a mess, especially management level). However, it was cool seeing Captain Phasma marching with her stormtroopers. There were quite a few photo ops if you wanted to wait in line for them. And we had a behind the scenes look at Galaxy's Edge--it was a panel with some of the head imagineers. The food was fun. They had quite a selection of Star Wars themed offerings. I missed the special fireworks, but from the inside of the store, they sounded fun. I think the event could have been executed better and I felt there weren't enough Star Wars specific activities going on. There could have been so much more. But, if you love Star Wars, it's a fun way to spend a night. Plus, outside of Tomorrowland and the photo op lines, it was practically dead. I walked on to a lot of rides that had long waits earlier in the day.

How were the food lines and did they run out of anything? I wasn't going to get tickets, but it seemed like there was a bunch of fun stuff, so I went ahead and got one for Wednesday. Fireworks also looked great.

The food lines were manageable. I only stood in line at Tomorrowland Terrace, but I was through the line within 5 minutes. The other lines didn't look any worse than they do on a normal day. They ran out of some of the steins (they had Darth Vader and Phasma and I know they ran out of at least Phasma because I happened to be in line for one when they ran out) and maybe a popcorn bucket, but in general, they seemed well-stocked.
