I was never a fan but saw the movie with my hubby last night. (he was always a fan) I really liked it!! And I'm quite surprised I'm about to say this but.... I thought Spock was HOT!!

Just had to get it off my chest...

I saw it with my DH, DS22 and DD19. My DD19 hadn't really seen any of the "old" Star Trek and she still enjoyed this film. If you did like the original Star Trek, as DH and I did, you will really love it. And yes, Zach Quinto (playing "Spock") did a great job. But if you watch the TV show "Heroes" he also played the serial killer "Sylar," so DD19 and I had a few chuckles there imagining "Spock" doing what "Sylar" would do. LOL! I look forward to more Star Trek movies with this cast -- they were all fabulous. They captured most of the characterizations of the original characters, even body movements, very well.

My DH laughed at me because not only did I recognize Leonard Nimoy as soon as they showed him from behind, but I also cried when he turned around. I'm such a DORK!!

We all loved the movie, thought it was great! I especially like that they threw in tons of funny little gags based on the original series. Even throwing themselves to one side on the bridge when they took a hit, like in the old days before special effects.

I loved this movie.Seen it 3times now.Deff leaves it open for sequals.As long as they keep the same cast!!

Zachary Quinto is totally hot. He did a great job. Chris Pine isn't too shabby, either!

And as good as the movie is for newbies, it's even better for fans. There's so much that went on behind the story, that explains how old Spock got where he was. It makes the movie so much better.

I'm an old-time Trekkie, yes back in the days when we were Trekkies not Trekkers, and my favorite episodes were the ones where Spock got into romantic tangles ala Leila Kalomi, Zarabeth, the Romulan commander, Droxine, Nurse Chapel...

Not only is Zachary Quinto hot... he is a phenomenal actor. I don't know anyone else who could make me feel for a character like Sylar (on Heroes.)

He does evil vulnerability better than any other actor I've ever watched.
