Star Tours

Love the ride. Very well done, clever idea.

But is the only ride (other than MTP) that makes me sick.

Love Star Tours! I rode 6 times in 2012 and 6 times in 2013. I swear I get Kashyyyk at least half the time. I wish I could get Hoth more often; had it once last year, once this year, and it's great. Last year I never saw Leia, this year I saw her 3 times. And I am still bummed that I never got Naboo this year (I like Naboo - it has a great punch line).

AWESOME!!! Can't wait, glad it changes at least most of the time

My DS6 will love it! Dad will to!!!

I didn't see anyone post the actual ride options so here they are

Intro:
Vader intro- Rebel spy shown on right small screen.
Probe Droid/Millenium Falcon intro- Rebel spy shown on probe droids slab

1st Planet:
Tatooine
Kashyyk
Hoth

Hologram transmition:
Princess Leia
Yoda
Admiral Ackbar

2nd Planet:
Naboo
Coruscant
Geonosis

The ending is tied to the second planet.

I did via a link. ;)

There is also another variation. The holograms say either "him" or "her" when referring to the rebel spy. They never include that as an option, I guess it is too subtle.

Rather than start another topic I will ask here. One of my brothers will be making his first trip to Disney World next month with us. He is blind in one eye. Will he be able to ride this ride and still see it in 2d if he wears the glasses? Or do we skip it? I did a search and found all kinds of conflicting info and not sure what is right. Sorry to send the thread in another direction, I love the ride and all the variations.

Yes, he will need to wear the glasses though. He can always test it on a regular 3D movie first (Muppets, Philharmagic, etc), and leave if it doesn't work out for him (you can leave during the movies, not during the rides).

My DH is blind in one eye too. He was able to still see everything on Star Tours in 2D and loved the ride! I didn't ask him specifically about Star Tours, but on other 3D movies he has told me that certain things are blurry so he can tell those are supposed to be 3D. I think the things that are blurry for him are the things that look like they are right in your face. He could see everything to play the games on TSM too, just not the 3D element of them.

Thanks to both of you for the quick response. My brother loves Star Wars and will be excited to try the ride. We are going during the last SWW and I made him a reservation for the D-tech stormtrooper thing as well. Should be a great time for all.

Just remember, he has to use the glasses. The movie has 2 images and the lens for each eye blocks the opposite image. He will see a clear movie without blurring by using the glasses.

Been on ST about 15 times since its opened and have seen all the scenes (not all combinations of course), I've been the rebel spy once. On our trip last Christmas, DS was the rebel spy 5/8 times we rode!!! (DS and DH are Star Wars fanatics so we ride this ride more than any other in WDW) We had to get him the "I'm the Rebel Spy" t-shirt after that :lmao:

Odd but we seem to get Kashyyk the most too. We finally saw Hoth during our last trip.

We love this ride! I would personally gladly just stay on it for the afternoon.

Ugh, I had no idea there was a rebel spy t-shirt!! My son would have loved that :(
