Are their alternate endings or different cinema on the ride or is the ride always the same??

I believe there 4 parts to the movie and each part can be a different scenario making 50 different movies total. (don't quote me I might not be remembering what all the cast member told us)
We went 4 times and got 4 different rides, some of the same scenes, but the ride was different enough that the kids were happy to ride as many times as we could

There are two different opening sequences, six (I think) main adventure segments of which you get two different ones randomly selected for each ride, and four (I think) different options for a brief linking sequence between the two main adventure segments.

THANKS! I'm guessing it's a random shot at what you see? Looking forward to it! Taking our kids June 14th for 1st time. My DS6 loves Star Wars

There's also one of - I think - three pop up characters.

The variables are: one of two - one of three - one of three- one of three- so the total number of variations is 54, according to my calculations.

If you like Star wars, it's very much worth riding it at least twice.

Definitely not always the same. I can't remember how many new scenes there are (I'm sure you can Google it), but you "drive" through 3 or 4 scenes. When we went in 2011, we had a different experience each time.

And I got to see the Wookie planet 3x!!!!!! :cool1::woohoo:

Are you kidding me? I haven't seen the Wookie planet and I rode it 8x in 2011 and 3x in 2012. Oh the humanity!

We've gotten Kashyyyk three out of six rides. In those six rides, I have seen everything but Hoth and have I not been the Rebel Spy.

I too seem to get Kashyyyk all the time. Finally got Hoth last ride--hang in there. :goodvibes

I'm also planning on going to Star Wars Weekends to get one of the Star Tours name tags and I'm probably going to get Kashyyyk as the location since I've been called a Wookie once or twice (or many more times). :chewy:

I've been on this ride 30-40 times since it reopened, but I've only gotten the opening scene with Darth Vader twice. I've had WAY too much of my share of the Naboo/Gungan City scene though....seems like it's always there. Other than that scene, all of the rest are great. Worth riding many times if you're a Star Wars fan.

Been on this maybe 10 or so times. The stormtrooper opening (with the probe droid) seems to be more common than Vader, but then again 10 times isn't a large sample size.

I also don't recall *ever* seeing the Leia hologram. Always been Yoda or Ackbar for me.

Son was the rebel spy once. Also have seen 'stock' photos being used as the rebel spy rather than a rider.

It's really funny seeing these responses. Dudes (and dudettes) after the jump to lightspeed, I've only gotten Hoth. :confused3

Oh and I've never been the Rebel Spy but two people in my party have been including my nephew who is a huge star wars fan.

We rode many times, as I have a Star Wars loving boy. He was the rebel spy the first time! We never had a repeat of all of the sections.

We rode twice last trip and had the EXACT same ride! That's rather statistically unlikely (and I've been to the Wookie planet every time, too!).

We rode refurbished version several times last year (I think about 7-8 times) and TWICE my mother, who is 67, was the Rebel Spy! We HAD to get her the T-shirt!!! She really enjoyed the bit of attention. Funny thing is, I would often get very ill on the old version. Although the mechanics of it all may not have changed much, I don't get as motion sick. Maybe I've just psyched myself up enough. Who knows? But I LOVE it!!
