Star Tours

For some reason, I keep thinking that I read or heard that there was a major refurb on the Star Tours ride? I'm curious if that's true, and if so, did they make any changes, or was it regular maintenance? Thanks for any responses!

Hasn't happened yet. New movie coming in later and reopening 2011. I am sure someone is going to post the right links!

That will be so nice! That is definitely one ride that can use a serious update!

Yes, a new movie in 3D will be coming next year. ST is supposed to close in October of this year I believe.

Details: Long-rumored, and long-delayed update of Star Tours attraction.
Project Status: In development.
Open Date: Previously said to open by 2010, then later said to be delayed until summer 2011. Al Lutz reported in his 7/7 column that Star Tours 2 would debut May 2011​

Makes sense that it would debut in May. It's Star Wars weekend time at DHS in WDW. I would bet money that it'll debut that first theme weekend.
