Okay, the new Star Tours has been open for almost a week. :dance3: What has it done to/for the usual morning stampede to TSM? Has it had any impact at all? Has anyone been there on a non-SWW day that can give us an update?? Inquiring minds want to know..... ::yes::

Just got back - was at DHS Monday so a non SWW day and the stampede to TSM still was crazy but it was a little better than it was previously I believe. Hope this helps - TSM is so slow loading and of course families with young children will always flock to that ride. Surprisingly, we had no problems getting on Star Tours at all. We rode it during soft opening last Tuesday night, Friday the opening day with fast passes, Staurday with fast passes and walk on at the end of the night. And late Monday night we just walked on Star Tours numerous times with no wait at all.

May the Force be with you

My sister is there right now. She was in line outside the door and the wait time said 5 minutes. When she got inside, she said they literally ran thru the line - nobody in there! She's about to get on now.

My family was at SWW last weekend and they were able to ride TSM 3 times without getting off! They could have kept going but my Dad was turning green! :lmao:

I hope that is true this coming weekend! :thumbsup2

Wow! This truly surprises me. Do people outside of these boards not know it's been redone? Do they think it's still closed? I expected to see wait times for Star Tours that harkened back to the 1990s when you had to get a FP or wait 45 min.

Just got back from 10-day trip... on SWW days, TSM lines were better early in the morning than usual -- then they basically caught right back up and were LONG. On non-SWW days, our experience with TSM was the SAME as on past trips. Still prepare for VERY long lines there...

I think on the weekends you will. Remember it is during the week, at park opening (rope drops are always slower), school is in session and many of the diehards want to experience the SWW events, not just the ride.

If it stays dead through the days/evenings and especially past SWW's....then it will be more of a surprise.

You have to completely discount any stories from Star Wars Weekends. The people willing to brave those crowds are a self-selected group HIGHLY interested in Star Wars stuff.

The real story is what happens on non SWW days, and after the initial flurry of interest in Star Tours dies down.

NO WAY will it have a lasting impact on the TSM stampede. That will take another full-family-friendly headline attraction.

How long does the new Star Tours ride last?

If this has any impact at all on the TSM dash I expect it will be minimal and short lived. No ride with a height restriction will take the pressure off of TSM because of all the families with kids too small to ride, or someone who is pregnant, or who is prone to motion sickness and therefore avoiding ST.
