I wanted to get this posted yesterday but I couldn't find the time.
I was able to attend soft openings on Wednesday and Thursday of this week for Star Tours 2.0 and I was blown away. I won't get into the details of everything thats new, (thats for you to experience) but what I will say is that it is a MUST DO for even non Star Wars fans.
On Wednesday it was open at 11am and I got to walk right onto it, then they started to hand out a few fastpasses for later so I grabbed one. The line ended up getting to an hour, but thats only because the fastpasses started going through.
Thursday I went early in the morning and it was open all day, but no fastpasses were being used, so the line stayed a steady 20 minute wait with the line out the door.
I have spoken to managers around the park and even in other parks, and they are expecting a 6 hour wait today for the opening, and they have covered the Streets of America with a canopy to keep the line in the shade.
I can honestly say that after Star Wars Weekends is over, this will draw a huge majority of the guests from the other attractions. On Thursday the wait for TSM was only 30 minutes, Coaster was only 10 minutes, and Tower was "13" (walk on) almost all day. As I said the wait for Star Tours was only 20 minutes, due to the fact no fastpasses were going through (more proof fastpasses need to be changed or taken away.)
All in all, you MUST come to and visit Studios to go on Star Tours as soon as you can. It is well worth it.
Sorry all this doesn't seem very organized, it was done in haste.
