Another quick question, sorry (you can see im getting excited about the trip now as starting to think about what we r gonna do there... )

what exactly is the star tours ride?
i have a 4yr old and a (almost) 2 yr old, would it be suitable for them?
(the 2yr old is probably braver than the 4 yr old!!)
i saw star tours there a few yrs ago when we went to DLP but didnt get round to it, and dont really know what it is!!

It's basically a flight simulator. Like the type you get at fairs but it's really well themed to Star Wars. It's not scary but it is quite bumpy/jerky.

Your 2 year old might be too small to go on it. you have to be 1.02m to ride it.

My 4 year old non-ride kinda person went on star tours, and was unphased by it - but I think the amount of shaking etc might be a little much physically for anyone younger.

My daughter did want to check herself against the height guide, and she's freakishly tall, so passed it easily, anyone younger could struggle to be allowed on.

oh ok, thank you,

i thought it was a simulator type thing, but more like the ?Armagedon one where you stand thru it all,

will maybe take my DD4 on it then, i know her dad will want to go on it!

Thank you x

check out youtube, because there are some onride videos. So you can have a first impression of that ride.

Just a word of warning I took my little girl who just turned 5 on it she is quite a slight little girl and within about the first 30 seconds she bumped her side on the seat as although I tighten the belt she could still slip side to side in it.

Pretty sure she would have enjoyed it but this spoilt it for her. After that I put my arm there so she only bumped against that and it was fine. So just be prepared to be a buffer for your little one and I'm sure the 4 year old will be fine.

THBa, what a great idea, why didnt i thnk of that!! Thank you x

and MolyandLucysmum, thanks, maybe i will leave the star tours ride til the sunday (last day) when she might be getting braver and not mind the bumping about so much!
its like the PotC, really want to go on that, but dont think little ones will like the skeletons etc much ...:0(

still, gives me an excuse to go back another yr when thery are all older :0)

I agree that the 2 year old may be too small due to the Jerkiness, and it does go on for a fair while. My 5 year old went on and although Id spent ages preparing him that it was just a TV the look on his face was still utter shock although he enjoyed it at the end!

We had two 8 year olds (girls), two 5 year olds (turned 6 during the week we were there - one 1 one girl) and one 3 year old. The 3 year old was too small. My daughter, who has previously hated things like this, actually enjoyed it and as it was open during EMH we road it most days! My DS really loved it!

It does jolt about a bit and whilst I was holding onto the arms to keep myself from falling all over the place (even with a seatbelt on!) my friends 6 year old just sat there not holding on :confused3

This is my 3 year olds favourite ride. He is reasonably tall for his age and will be 4 in the summer. He loves it and on our last visit he wanted to go on it at least twice a day every day for our entire stay. It seems to have just beaten buzz lightyear as his favourite.

Hope you enjoy.

My OH took our 3 year old on it and he loved it, he's a massive star wars fan though. I couldn't go on because I was pregnant but I convinced my son that he had really gone to space and told him he'd been gone for hours even though it might have only felt like a few minutes to him :) He thought it was very exciting!

He also went on the tower of terror though when he was 3 :scared1:
