Star Tours refurb?

Hi! I know I've read in the past about Star Tours being refurbished. Will Star Tours be up for our trip Mid July????

Bummer. I hope it doesn't go down before my Nov trip, but it sounds like it. I really wanted one more classic Star Wars trip before they mess it up with the new films. I hope there is no Jar Jar Binks.

According to MC's DLR Project Tracker, "Star Tours 2.0" is expected to open in Summer 2011.

Anyone know what day it is actually going down??

There’s a totally unofficial rumor that Star Tours will close on October 23, 2010. (In post #28 in a thread at MC, “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” reports that a CM said that Star Tours will close on October 23, 2010. Is the CM correct? Who knows?)

We really won’t know until there’s an official announcement, or until they add Star Tours to the “Closed for Refurbishments” list on the official DLR calendar.

on Micechat's In the Parks update/blog today they had this to say about Star Tours.

Star Tours is expected to close at the end of August for its transformation into Star Tours 2. Time to almost visit the moons of Endor one more time.

Again nothing is for sure until Disney annouces it offically, and even then it could change! My DD 5 loves the current Star Tours and I am glad she will get to ride it again this spring before it gets the makeover. I hope the new one will be fun. I was very let down by the prequels so we will have to see.
