If you want to take a last, nostalgic ride on Star Tours at Disneys Hollywood Studios, Tuesdays your last chance.
On Wednesday, Disney will close the attraction for a major renovation. The Disneyland counterpart to the Star Wars-themed ride closed on July 27.
In 2009, Disney announced the overhaul, which will be in 3-D. Disney has said the new attraction will include virtual visits to Coruscant and a pod race on Tatooine and will be set in between Episodes III and IV of the film series.
According to the LA Times, the updated attraction will give riders the power to control various aspects of the story line.
Star Tours opened at Disneys Hollywood Studios on Dec. 15, 1989, several months after the entire theme park opened its doors for the first time.
Disney says the new attraction, dubbed The Adventures Continue, will open sometime next year.
Disneys Hollywood Studios is open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Disney is holding a special after-hours event to commemorate the rides closing. The event is sold out and is only open to members of Disneys official fan club, D23.

, I was looking forward to riding it this year in October, guess I won't get the chance. I really hope someone video tapes the whole ceremony/shindig and puts it on
