just thought id post this energizer just dropped our sponsership at disneyland so weve been taking down all things energizer including those posters in our exit. I guess theyll be putting up posters of the different worlds like hoth and tattoine. Not big changes but hey its sad news for people who like those posters at the exit lol

Awww...we thought those "going and going and going" posters were pretty good! Especially b/c you keep walking and going and going through the exit, lol.

Oh well. Let's hope we can get some major updates to the ride itself. Like multiple ride sequences / trip destinations to mix it up a bit for one (maybe randomize it). :)

Thanks for the update.

One other thing I might add, along the lines of why Star Tours should be udpated.

With other rides, refreshes are mainly to restore the original look and feel of a classic, or update it to add a new character, such as with POTC. It's considered a "classic" so you don't really want to mess with a good thing to take away from its charm.

With Star Tours, on the other hand, it's what I see as a "technology" ride, and in the spirit of Disney and George Lucas, you'd expect it to continue forward as technology gets better. Continuously Plus it! Now I'm not sure how difficult it is to map the simulator to the movie sequences, but you'd think that was planned in when it was first created as updates would be considered.

I just think there is so much opportunity with all the Star Wars chapters to add new content here and restore the ride to a premier status (not to mention create new merchandising opportunities, driving increased sales at Star Trader!). It can't be that difficult to work with LucasFilm and add Disney characters into the films for that matter (you already have Jedi Mickey merchandise!). I'm sure cost is a factor but the timing is good considering all the movie episodes have been released and the content is out there.

I can only hope :goodvibes :darth:

The posters was the first thing my son mentioned when we got off the ride on Wednesday. I was a lil bummed but, I like the new posters.
