Wow, I'm assuming the person that wants to marry her sees more than you do.
I see a smart, beautiful, caring person. Why wouldn't someone want to marry her?

If not, that's quite the opinion to throw around based on seeing someone on a TV show.

Based on the persona she puts forth on TV, I think she's a super role model for girls.

Yes, she officially announced her engagement on The View this morning. I don't know much about the guy except that his name is Al and he gave her a 5 carat diamond at the NBA All-Star Game last night. He asked her parent's permission on Thursday so Star knew it was coming sometime.

I have no idea what she's like in person but they say there's someone for everyone. Hopefully, this is a love match since Star also has a lot of money and contacts that many men would also find attractive.

I've been watchin' that show since the beginning. I will say she is very bright and pretty,but man,she is just so arrogant! And I can't warm up to anyone who dislikes animals!

I don't watch the show that much, but the times I have I didn't see her as arrogant, but there are plenty of arrogant men out there that are married!!

I'm not a big fan of the View, although I haven't watched it in years. Remember when the young, pretty woman got booted off of the show, why did they get rid of her? Were they jealous? They all seem kind of catty!

I can't say I watch The View that much but she seems fine from what I can tell. I'm happy for her. Also I think what some people take as arrogance is just self-assurance. I hope no one takes this the wrong way but, I think large women often allow their size to prevent them from doing things but Starr Jones has not allowed it to stop her and this probably surprises people.

I really can't stand to watch that show because it seems like they are constantly talking over each other and it drives me crazy. But I happened to turn the tv on this morning and it was on and Star was talking about getting engaged. They said her fiance will be on tomorrow.....

And as far as people saying, well, you've never met her..how can you have an opinion..well, I've never met Hitler, and I have a pretty strong opinion about him as well

That's interesting because I've been watching since the show started and at first Starr got on my nerves but she has loosened up and relaxed. Now she's is my 2nd favorite on the show (Meredith being the first). The person I can't stand is Joy Behar, who ever told that woman she was funny? And why do all her jokes seem to be about sex? Since she went to Jenny Craig and lost 30 pounds she seems even more arrogant. I mute the TV when she talks most of the time

OMG . That's fine to not care for someone. However the OP's subject line reads "is anyone really going to marry her". As if to imply she's such a horrific person it's beyond comprehension that someone would find her even remotely appealing. And then to make an analogy using Hilter, well I just don't get some people .

Thank goodness for that! I think I am a very hard person to get along with sometimes - so thank goodness for my husband who is patient with me!
