What I find interesting is that BW keeps referring to ABC not renewing the contract, as though it's some mysterious corporate entity over which she has no control. Isn't BW the executive producer of this show? Doesn't she make all the hiring and firing decisions, or have at least a significant role to play in them?? If she was able to handpick her cast nine years ago, has she given up the power to "unpick" them??
I think a little honesty from Barbara would go a long way, too.
As far as Star's fake smile and insincerity, I thouht she was fighting for composure through most of the interview. She certainly was picking her words carefully, but she's an attorney and she was probably mindful of how they would be picked apart later. Also, she just looked...nervous...to me. I imagine she's been under tremendous strain and pressure, and if I were in that position, I'd probably have looked like a deer in the headlights.
Oh, and she did admit to a surgical weight loss procedure, did anyone catch that????
Still not a fan of having Rosie on, though. The one I'll really miss is Meredith.
And I think The View has jumped the shark, too.
