STAPLES said "NO" to Water Delivery

I just called staples and she said that they can't deliver water as of now in FL.She said there is a shortage of water down there.I don't see why they couldn't get it from another warehouse anyone eles try to place an order?

That's what I thought, too...I am so anxious to hear if people are getting it to work without having to spend $50. I thought that if you were a Staples Rewards member that you could ship anything for free (at least we did that last year for our trip), but when I was researching for this trip, it looked like I couldn't do it without making a $50 order. Can't wait to hear what you guys say about this. This was such a money saver for us last year!

It is 6.99 per case (24 bottles) at Staples.com with a S&H/Delivery charge of 7.95 even for Rewards members. Still a good deal if you order two cases as it all will come to $21.93 total-saving about $100 when compared to buying it for 2.50 a bottle at WDW. :upsidedow

Ahhh...maybe that is why we were told "No."

Why pay $120.00 at WDW for 48 bottles of water when we can get the same amount for about $20.00?! I can most definitely find better things at Disney to spend that $100 on! :goodvibes And for us, it is not just the cost. I think the water they sell at Disney (Dasani) is nasty! :scared:

Oh hon, I totally agree with you, it is just that it cracks me up when people complain about the cost. Go to DLR and then complain people. I will always bring/order my own. I HATE Dasani water anyway. Wish they would bring back either Sparkletts or Arrowhead.

Guess I misread your post. :rolleyes1 Sorry! :upsidedow :upsidedow

Good to know! I will be trying again in a bit. May I ask which resort you are staying at? I am having trouble with staples.com accepting the address for CSR.

:confused3 We called Staples to order 2 cases of bottled water to be delivered to us at CSR. The woman said that they do not deliver to "any resorts." After nicely telling her that we knew of people who do have bottled water delivered to them at Disney resorts, she said she would check with her supervisor. After being on hold for quite some time, she came back on and told us that her supervisor agreed-they do not deliver to "resorts." :confused3
we had gardengrocer.com deliver groceries including water to our room. it is a $10 fee but if you are ordering snacks and such it's still cheaper than buying onsite disney

We are staying at the All-Star Music

I had to type in the zip code rather than copying and pasting because at first it said it didn't match.

Is it less expensive or free to ship water from Staples for ground delivery?

I'm just wondering, since I was thinking of just buying the brand I wanted and going to UPS myself and shipping it out :confused3

I know I could not buy Poland Springs (my personal fave) in FL. I just could not drink the tap water there, so I would like to bring my own. I don't like the Zephyr Hills brand either or Dasani - I'm not too fussy am I? ;)

Shipping water via UPS would be extremely expensive. I don't know how that would save you any money.

Just an update for anyone who's interested. I just placed an order through staples online. I had some issues with the address and zip code, but I think I figured that all out. Anyway, the important thing was, I was able to place the order (for Deer Park water that was in stock) and I got the free delivery (for a $13 order, through the Rewards program). That was all this morning on 6/27.

Not trying to be a downer, but I am really amazed that Disney is still allowing this. It seems to be very popular. With all of the packages being shipped ahead by guests, think of how much work this is for Disney. They have to check in all this stuff and store it until the guests arrive. I've been in the bell service storage areas and behind the front desk of several resorts. They really don't have that much space. And, it cuts into Disney's profits. Why allow guests to bring in something which will stop them for having to make a purchase? While I certainly don't blame folks for wanting to do this, I think it is just a matter of time before Disney stops allowing it.
