Staples Rewards Program- Help and Vent

Back in November, Staples had a 100% reward offer on Durracell batteries. I signed up for the rewards program and ordered that batteries. My understanding was that at the end of the quarter you were mailed a reward rebate for the eligible items, in this case $25.98. I checked my rewards program account online. It shows the battery purchase but says my rewards earned for the quarter are $0.00. What the heck does that mean? I called the number listed at the top of the screeen and was told the rewards program was a seperate number and I would have to call tomorrow. Um, hello? YOUR number is on the screen. i'm really pissed off. I would NOT have ordered batteries if I knew they were going to shaft me. Is anybody familiar with this program that can help me? I don't have a local store so talking to someone there is not an option.

It was for only AA and AAA batteries I thought. I got mine in the mail on Friday. So maybe it will come this week?

I do a ton of purchasing at Staples and receive quarterly credits, I have not received my 4th quarter certificate yet.

I can't speak for Staples but most of the rewards places reset your balance once they issue a certificate. So if you had checked in the past and you had a balance and they have since cut & mailed the rewards check they may have also reset you back to 0. Hopefully you will see it in the next few days and I would still go ahead and give them a call Monday anyhow.

OK. You guys make me feel better now. What does the rebate look like? Is it in an envelope with Staples on the outside or what? My DH will throw away anything that looks like "junk" so I thought I'd give him a heads up on what to look for.

I recieved mine with no problems. It came in a blue and yellow staples envie.

I also went through what you did. I called last week and they said that as long as you used your rewards card number to order, it was automatically entered. I also saw my purchase, but $0.00 in the rewards pending and was told to call the rebate center on Monday...which I forgot to do. So I will be calling tomorrow just as you are.

I have gotten a rebate before, it comes in the form of a "check" to be used at Staples within a couple of months. It gave me a great excuse to buy myself a new camera, as it was quite a substantial check. Heck, I wasn't going to use it on something practical like ink cartridges!

Our rebates goes to our business, I had to train the secretary (she's awesome) to open everything from Staples....the rewards rebates can look like junk mail.

When they did the special for the purchase of a backpack back in the summer, the checks were running a little behind in getting out. I did receive mine, but it was a little later than normal. I am also waiting on my check for my batteries. I have always gotten my rebate / rewards checks from Staples.

I'm waiting on my check, too! I ordered 6 packs of batteries (over 3 weeks so it should all count) but my rewards aren't showing up on the website either.

I'm planning on using the rewards on toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, etc. Maybe a little TOO practical!
