We are going Dec 4-14th. We usually go week after Labor Day when ADR's are not an issue. I don't want to make ADR's for all of our resturaunts as we tend to change our minds as to what parks/which days and often just wake up and go wherever the mood strikes. I do have some crucial ADR's made for CRT, CP, Yatchsman, LTT during MVMCP, but I was wondering about our standby chances for lunch/dinner at LeCellier, Tony's Towns Square, Ohona's (breakfast only), and Whispering Canyon Cafe (breakfast, lunch, or dinner)? Should I just go ahead and make some of these ADR's or leave it to chance? Our party would include 2 adults. I am looking to keep the standby under 1.5 hours.

TIA

Our two adult party has had no problem walking up to Le Cellier and Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch. We do go on the off hours (either early or late). I think it's easier for couples than families. We usually go in November. We had ADR's our first trip but don't so much now. have a good time.

You probably wouldn't have any trouble with anything other than Le Cellier. When I was there for lunch this past May they were turning people away, who didn't have ADRs. Before I left there were people here on the DIS saying they couldn't get ADRs at Le Cellier for either lunch or dinner. We ate dinner there again in Sept and people couldn't even get to the podium. They had a girl outside with a clipboard, checking with everyone who walked up and if they didn't have an ADR they were immediately turned away.

With Le Cellier being one of the options for the Candlelight Processional, it is completely booked up for dinner during Dec and people who just want to eat there have had no choice but to get ADRs for lunch. I think you'd be out of luck without an ADR and at this late date you'd probably be lucky to even get an ADR. If you go look at the Candelight Processional thread you'll see where it was booked solid by people doing the CP, even before ADRs were opened at 90 days for people not doing the CP.

The breakfast at Ohana just turned into a Lilo and Stitch with Mickey breafast so I think it might be harder to eat there for a while without an ADR as people are excited to have the chance to eat with new characters. As the word gets out I think that will be "need an ADR" restuarant for a while
