Standby arrival times for AK shows

Years ago, you could arrive 30 mins before showtime at any Animal Kingdom show and almost always get a seat in standby. Is this still the case in 2024? If not, how early should we arrive before show time to be confident we can get in? Or does it vary by show? Thanks!

It would depend on time of year of your visit and also which show. I believe Festival of the Lion King often fills to capacity. That one I would probably recommend arriving 45 mins in advance. Finding Nemo is a large theater. When we were there in Aug the theater did not fill to capacity but I'm not sure that's common. Not sure about the current bird show.

Having been a lot recently, including at peak times, the only show you would possibly have a problem with is Lion King on extremely high level crowd days. 30 minute arrival for the other shows is fine, and 30 minute early arrival for Lion King is fine unless it is an extremely high crowd day, like around Thanksgiving or Christmas. When are you going?

Thanks for the feedback. We are going Late June/Early July. So it sounds like 30 minutes works in most cases. We may aim for 35 at Lion King just to be safe.
