My family and I are going to WDW next week. While we are there, my husband and I would like to spend a night at the Boardwalk for our anniversary. My sister has offered to watch our kids. I have never stayed there and was wondering what the best standard room location would be. Would it be better to request a 1st floor room or one with a balcony? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Our first stay at the BWI, we had a garden view balcony that was on the third floor and overlooked the garden suites. There were pretty rose gardens and the quiet pool was in the area as well. It was very peaceful. I thought it was a beautifu view!:D

We stayed there in January. I requested "a room with a pretty view". We were given top floor and we had the best Epcot view!! We were able to watch Illuminations every night from our balcony.

Btw, this was a standard room. ;)

Some of the standard views face the front driveway and bus stop. I would try to avoid those if you can.
