Standard room at Beach Club - will I have a balcony?

I have just read that all Yacht Club rooms have balconies and about half of Beach Club rooms. Yacht Club and Beach Club are the same price, so how do they decide who gets a balcony and who doesn't. There are five of us so I thought a balcony might give us a little more stretching out space. Is a balcony something I should request, or are the standard rooms the rooms without balconies?

We requested a full balcony at the BC last year when we made our reservations & got one. It might be worth requesting one...you may or may not get it...depending when you are going I guess & how busy they are. We went last July & it was a standard room (gardenview - we overlooked some trees). It seems, from what I've read, that will try to accommodate requests if they can. We requested a full balcony, a daybed & to be away from the construction (BCV) and got everything we asked for.

there are certain floors where none of the rooms have balconies, the 2nd I think.

you have a great chance of getting a balcony. Check out Joe's fact page to look at the room layouts.

Hi perd,

My understanding is that only the second and fourth floor rooms have full balconies. You can request a room with a full balcony but keep in mind that it is only a request and might not be granted.

One of the reason why we will not stay at the BC is that a full balcony is important to us and we do not want to risk not getting one.

All of the rooms at the YC do have full balconies.

If a full balcony is important to you then maybe consider switching to the YC?? If that is not an option then do put in a request for a full balcony but try to not to be disapointed if your request is not granted.
