Not sure what to do. I am holding 2 reservations for the HR for Dec 9-14. A standard at $125.00 and a deluxe at $155.00. I just don't know if it's worth the extra money for the deluxe room. We've stayed at the HR before and just had a standard then- which was nice. Any suggestions? I would love to think I could possibly get upgraded, but I am one of those people who never ever get an upgrade. (poor me, ha ha). Or for $135.00 a night I can switch to the PBH, which I have never stayed at. (btw, I have kids 9, 7, 5). I was surprised to find out the RPH was filled up! Well thanks for any suggestions/help.

If it were me and we could swing the extra $125 I would take the deluxe room. With a family of 5 thats some nice extra space:)

I have always been fortunate getting an upgrade (same dates as you) Dont plan on it but if it does happen, wonderful! You have a loews card right? Does your rate include tax?

Next is Portofino suggestions. On Expedia you can book a bayview room for $132.50 a night for your dates and that includes tax. These rooms are larger than standard HR rooms. About the same size as HR Deluxe rooms. Again if you go with this request an upgrade.

RPH is showing available on Expedia. Standard $129 and Waterview $159

My opinion is that an upgrade would be easier to get at Portofino than at Hard Rock. But if you have your heart set on HR since you have already stayed there you may want to stick with your original plan.

Hope this helped! Good Luck:) WE will also be there again this year just havent decided on a hotel yet. From Dec12-16.

Definitely go with the Deluxe. We've had it 2 years running now and will never go back to anything smaller there. We have 4 adults and 2 children(ages 5 & 12 now) in that room and have plenty of room to romp and roll without bumping into each other. I say that knowing when we travel we bring everything we own.

Sorry to add a question to a question, but we are staying at the HRH next week in a standard room with 2 adults and 3 teens/preteens. Does the deluxe have a daybed, or is it just more floor space?

Also, I've requested non-smoking. Is there anything else I should request...a particular floor, area, etc?

Thanks!

For the Deluxe, there are two choices. You can either get a room that has two queens and a fold out sofa that is queen size as well or 1 king size bed with the queen size fold out sofa. Based upon your group, I'd get the two queens.

As for room location, that's dependent upon how far you wish to walk and view you wish to have. Our first year we were in 2137. Last year we were in 5137. I preferred the 5th floor because of the view. Make sure you request a room overlooking the pool. The view is much more pleasant and beautiful.

The only other consideration you may have is laundry. There is a laundry room on the 2nd and I believe 6th floor though someone else could corroborate this for me.

That's it. The Deluxe has nearly 600 square feet of space. Believe me when you walk in you will love it and the beds must have been made by the bed gods. They are comfortable.

Thanks All. I upped it to deluxe, now my next decision after talking to operator is do I spend even more and go with Club Level, or as someone else suggested switch to PBH for the $135.20 standard. Decisions-decisions:Pinkbounc

The club level rooms aren't any larger than a standard room on any other floor unless of course you go with a suite. I'd stay with the deluxe if I were you unless you like food, drink, and music perks along with a slightly smaller room and slightly more pricey accomodation.
