Standard mousekeeping tip

We usal tip 4 to 5 dollars a day for any maid service at hotels. :earsboy:

There are two of us (DS 10) and I. We tip $3.00/day, plus $2.00 at night if we are at a hotel with turn-down service.

Yes you should tip daily if the service warrants it. That way you are more likely to be giving the tip to the person that actually cleaned your room.

We tip $5/day and do it every day to make sure the housekeeper who cleaned our room received it. We've been stopped many times on our way to and from our room by housekeepers thanking us for the tips. It's really something that everyone should do. ::MickeyMo

We are a family of 4 and I tip $5 a day.

We are a family of 3 and we are planning on tipping $5 per day. It's just what we like to do!!! I think the mousekeepers really appreciate it and deserve it!! :flower:

We also tip daily but always tip extra for great service. I have had mousekeeping fill up our ice buckets, leave extra towels or animal towels and tip accordingly. :flower:

Hmm. I'm beginning to think I've been a little cheap! Since it's always just two of us, and we don't make much of a mess, I've always done $3.00/day. Do you think I ought to be tipping more? I don't want to stiff mousekeeping!

OK, silly question, but does Mousekeeping normally come in every day to clean? (We stayed at All Star, and I don't remember them coming in...maybe they don't do it for the cheap resorts :confused3 ). Anyway, if you tip on a daily basis, where do you leave the tip so MKing knows it's for them?

Sorry to sound uninformed, but we gotta get up to date on this stuff since we're movin' up to the deluxe!

We stayed at ASMo last week. Sometimes our room hadn't been cleaned by 3 pm. Actually the same at Comfort Suites for first half of trip. We left tip between phone receiver and phone base because there was no envelope at ASMo. Comfort Suites had an envelope if you wished to tip. We tipped 3 to 5 dollars a day.

The housekeepers have a little card that says "Hi, I'm__________, and I'm your housekeeper." We leave it under the card on the dresser. There's never a question what it's for. I know that some DISers bring Thank You envelopes as well, although we never have and it's all worked out fine.

There are 3 of us and I tip $3 a day.

You should always tip daily as your mousekeeper/housekeeper can change. We tip $1 per day per person (we clean up after ourselves pretty well) unless we have special requests and we tip more. We place it in a cute envelope with a Disney character on it that says "Thank you Mousekeeping" and we attached a tulle wrapped treat. :)

There are 3 of us and we are pretty messy so we tip 5$ a day in an envelope my daughter decorates with pictures. We got towel animals twice last trip. :bounce: I am sure it was due to the prictures she drew and not the money
