Standard BWV availability

What experiences have people had booking standard rooms at BWV if it's not your home resort? Any luck with the wait list? We usually go in January. I know it would be out for this year, but I was just wondering the likelihood if we tried in other years.

We booked a standard view studio in late July for February 8-13. We had to wait list for the 13th, but we got it in about a week.

I was surprised the availability was there. I figure if it had been the next week (closer to Presidents day holidays and Valentines Day I would have been out of luck).

I had BCV booked originally for those dates, but decided to try Boardwalk if the standard view was there (we have never stayed at Boardwalk).
