Stamps & postboxes

I thought it would be useful to come up with a list of places where stamps can be bought and postcards posted throughout the park(s). The only place I am aware of where you can buy stamps is in the Storybook Store near City Hall. Until recently the only postbox I knew of was by the lefthand side exit to the park (on the same side as City Hall) but last visit I discovered another at the Thunder Mesa Mercantile building and I also spotted another in one of our photos, outside the film and photo store near the Liberty Arcade entrance.

I am sure others must know of more.

Always get my postcards and stamps from the hotel shops and post them at hotel reception.

The big shop on the left as you first go into the studios (just after the ticket entrance, before you go inside the building) sells them.

Does anyone know the cost of postage to send a postcard to the UK or the US?

I think it is 60c to the UK (Europe outside France) and maybe 80c for the world but someone may correct me.

As a tip, I always put the addresses of people we want to send postcards to on appropriately sized envelopes before we go away. It saves time writing once there, means you are less likely to forget someone and I was once told that postcards in an envelope travel quicker than those without. Besides you get more room to write on the card which is a big help for small children.

In the past, I've made address labels for people I'll be sending postcards to on vacation; then I don't need to worry about my bringing address book (even though I usually have it anyway)!

i posted mine in the post box outside city hall, the reception at cheyenne told me their post box is only emptied weekly so thought id be home before the postcard. as i posted outside city hall they arrived in uk in 3 days

I usually buy my stamps from the Kodak shop or the shop in the DLH.

I have always given my postcards to City Hall as there mail is picked up daily.

I never knew that, thanks for that. Now that explains why my postcards took so long to get there last year

I agree it is a shame the stamps aren't special Disney ones. None of the postcards I've posted in the boxes in the park have had special postmarks either. Is there anywhere where they do receive a special Disney frank?
