Stamper ???

I am new to stamping.

I just bought the Mickey stamper alphabet and I am having a hard time. I know its me but I cant seem to get the mickey head to come out the same each time. Fustrating. Is there a trick to it?

I don't have that stamp set, but I have found that using a brush marker to "ink" the stamp instead of the standard ink pad works much better. I'd seen it done on DIY Scrapbooking, but wasn't convinced until I actually tried it. I love it!! I'm using Zig brush markers I got on clearance at ACM.
