stairs between decks

Can anyone tell me how many stairs there might be between decks? We are on deck 8 so we are only one deck away from pool but how many steps to go up?

How many steps to go down to deck 4 or 5?

How slow are the elevators really?

Each deck has 2 sets of stairs between them with about 10 steps in each set.....so maybe 20 steps or so between decks.

The stairs are quite manageable, as they are not too steep, and have a half-landing. The lifts get very busy mid-ships, but aft and forward tend to be quicker. Besides, no one rushes about on a cruise (eaten too much) so there isnt a panic to get anywhere in a hurry! Nat

as i recall, there are 2 sets of 8-10 steps with a landing in between. i ask my kids to use the stairs, as i do, to counteract the mega calories we are consuming. plus the elevators are too crowded and too slow.

We usually stay on Deck 6 or 7 and almost always use the stairs. I'd rather walk the 2-4 decks of stairs than wait for the elevators. About the only exception is when you have to exit the ship on deck 1, then I'll usually wait for the elevator to return to my cabin.

That's one of the nice things about staying on Deck 6. Just about everything you want to get to is on Deck 3, 4, 5, or 9. Deck 6 puts you in the middle of the two extreams.
