Has anyone stayed at Stage West in Mississauga? We were thinking of staying a couple of nights this summer when we go to Canada's Wonderland.

Would you recommend this hotel ? :confused3

We live in Mississauga and DD 13 went to a sleep over party last year. She had a blast. DW aslo stayed over and had no complaints. Great pool.

Have you though about staying closer to Wonderland so the drive is shorter?

Or save your money and head to WDW.

I find since going to Disney local parks just don't seem to do it any more for us.

I would suggest Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio in place of Wonderland. Much better park. We were in Sandusky for 4 days last August and stayed at the Kalahari. I would highly recommend it.

O.K. now you have me thinking. We have not been to a local amusement park since Disney and the Canada's Wonderland/Stage West combination does seem pale in comparison to Cedar Point/ Kalahari.

They are both equal distances away from us.

Thanks for your ideas.

Sandra one of the reasons we picked Kalahari was due to your trip report. You should post a link for Dazer22 of your trip report to Sandusky last summer.

After we were done with Sandusky we hit the Rock'nRoll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and loved it.

geeeze, I went to Stage West one night, the one near York U, the only ride I was offered was by a topless dancer and I paid $10 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I stayed at the Stage West years ago and caught a dinner show there. I really enjoyed my stay there.

To add to the Wonderland/Cedar Point debate, I used to visit both parks often growing up, and Cedar Point is far superior. If I had the choice, I'd do Cedar Point anytime! The last time I went to Cedar Point, I stayed at one of their hotels, Breaker's Express. It's a short drive to the park, and I remember getting a great rate on the hotel and coupons for the park.

Call 1-800-Buckeye (Ohio's tourist bureau #) and request the Cedar Point brochures. They contain coupons for discounts on admission. I'd also request brochures for hotels in that area.
