Stability wheels on 3 wheel ECV - any specific park issues?

Hi. I see that some 3 wheel ECVs use two little "stablity" wheels. Do they cause any specific problems at any of the parks. I'm thinking they would be difficult to maneuver around the trolley tracks at MK. How are they going up and down curb cutouts? Has anyone gotten "stuck" with them and had to get pushed, or get yourself out and push?

The only place that I have ever been really careful with is the tracks on Main Street. It isn't really a problem with those little wheels so much as with the tires themselves falling into them and getting stuck.

I have never had any issues with those little wheels causing me any problem on any terrain. And I do mean any terrain. My poor little scooter takes me through grass up and down grassy hills and everywhere else it was not meant to. It handles it just fine.

The only times I have needed to be pushed was more when the angle of something was too much and the back wheels couldn't get the traction. The bottom of the scooter would get stuck on there. It just bottomed out, because of the angle. Sometimes a run at it fast works, other times it is just better to get the push. But these are not things that I ran into at Disney, just out and about elsewhere.

The tracks are tricky. You want to be careful to either go directly across them from one side to the other (perpendicular) or at a sharp angle and you want to maintain speed and not have to stop for the sake of all the tires. If it is crowded, like when leaving MK after the fireworks I try to make sure to say completely to one side of the street or the other so I don't get pushed onto the tracks by the crowd.

I have that problem at several amusement parks we have been to with train or trolley tracks.

But my scooter has the 2 little wheels and I have never had any problems with them. In fact they have saved me several times when I did something stupid and started to tip. That is what they are there for, to keep you from going over if you start to tip over.

Most wheelchairs have those little wheels too. They are called "antitippers" (good name, considering what they do).
I'm not sure with the ECVs, but in both my DD's manual and power wheelchair, those would never hit the ground unless she was tipped slightly backwards. They have never gotten stuck on anything - and she has used a wheelchair for a long time.

I agree about the trolley tracks at MK - you want to stay clear of those and be very careful if you need to cross them. You want to drive straight across them because that puts the biggest part of the tire in contact with the smallest part of the track. You can get stuck in the track if you are driving sideways along the track and your wheel slips into the track form the side.
