Opinions on Capt. Nautica snorkel trip vs. Trunk Bay Beach day. Passporter only gave Trunk Bay excursion a 6, but I've seen some rave reviews here. What would you choose? Passporter gave Capt. Nautica a 9, fyi.

I'm not sure if it's the same excursion, but, we went to the Trunk Bay Snorkeling, and it was really nice. The snorkeling, and water conditions were ideal, especially if you are a newer snorkeler. We had beginners ranging in age from 5 to 65, and everyone enjoyed it. The crew was nice, the facility had showers and bathrooms. The ferry ride over had nice sights, and the "taxi" (it was a big open taxi that sat like 20) had great views. Got a lot of good pictures.

I don't have any experience with the other excursion to compare it for you, but, we weren't disappointed with Trunk Bay.

We did captain nautica on our last cruise. We absolutely loved it. The boat went really fast (even the little ones on the boat liked it). We made three stops. First stop we saw huge turtles, next we saw a shipwreck and lots of fish. The third stop was the absolute best. They took us to St. John for the best snorkling! It really was a lot of fun. The next time we take a cruise there, we are definately doing it again. They had drinks (non-alcoholic) and shrimp and fruit that they served us.

I would do Capt. Nauica too. Trunk Bay gets a little overused. Its nice to go somewhere else. We took the eco hike and it was fabulous to snorkel at the more remote Honeymoon Beach.
