St Martin Dolphin/ Sting Ray Tour

Has anyone done the Dolphin/ Sting Ray excursion in St Martin. How did you like it ?

We did the Anguilla Dolphin/Stingray excursion. I was awesome and I would recommend it to anyone.

We did it back in May '03. It was a blast! Whether it's worth the cost or not is a matter of opinion. Once you're there, the split everyone up into two groups: one plays with the critters while the other chills on the beach (they have chairs and umbrellas and such). Then you'll switch after lunch. With the animals, they had three separate stations: dolphins, stingrays, and hermit crabs - don't know if that will have changed by now or not.

With the dolphins, you wear a life vest and float in a deep tank with the dolphins. There were two separate halves when we were there, with a new mother and baby on one side. You get to swim around, pet the dolphin, kiss the dolphin, but no hanging on and riding. It was still very cool.

The stingrays are in a much smaller wading pool. You get to pet them and feed them, which is wild. They suck stuff up like a vacuum from your hand. You race the hermit crabs, which is somewhat amusing.

We thought it was nice day, but it is expensive, so I guess that may be a factor for some. They also have pictures for sail of you kissing the dolphins and such.

THANKYOU for your comments ! My son and DIL are going to try and book this with their children ages 9,7,and 4.Sounds like they'll have a great time. I don't suppose there's a problem about getting back to the ship before sailing time ??

HI magic cruiser! We'll be on the same cruise, and we have also booked this excursion! It'll be me, dh, dd 11 and dd 8! We can't wait! If you book through DCL and something happens you're safe!!

NYSIE... When did you book this tour ? My son and DIL haven't booked it yet, I hope it's not too late

Are you flying in the night before and if so, where are you staying ? We'll be at the Radisson. We have cruised many times, but I can't remember when I was this excited ! We'll have all 5 Grandchildren on the ship.They all live out-of-town so that makes it special.

BTW....my sister and BIL live in So Jersey...Sewell, and Joe works in Vineland. In fact we'll be up there next weekend for a graduation.

Hi magic cruiser- We booked this exactly on the 60 day mark! My neighbor said they tried to book it at 11:30 am on that day and it was sold out! I would still try!

We are flying in and will be arriving the morning before the cruise at about 9am. We are staying at the Ron Jon resort. This is our 1st cruise. We usually do the parks every year and decided to cruise for a change!!
