I have two DD's will be ages 11 & 13 and a DS who will be 6 at the time of the cruise, this looks like cool excursion but is it worth all that money? My DS really wants to pet the sting rays, but it is rather pricey! We're actually a family of 6 (2nd DS will only be 3, so too young).

Anyone have any suggestions about the sting rays? I think I remember reading here somewhere that they weren't worth it, didn't spend much time with them in the water. Any input will be appreciated!

Thanks!

We're not cruising until Sept. 2005.

I do not think that there is a sting ray encounter in St. Marteen, the only one that I am aware of in Grand Cayman.

ksumom - I think youo are referring to the Anguilla Dolphin and Stingray excursion. I haven't been on this excursion, but remember reading mixed reviews on the boards. I think if you do a search for "Anguilla" you might be able to find those threads. Good luck!

The other family at our dining room table did the Anguilla dolphin excursion last week. They had a good time, but were only in the water with the dolphins for about 25 - 30 minutes. They spent a lot more time laying on the beach than with the dolphins. It is a pretty expensive excursion and involves about a 45 minute boat ride in each direction.
