St Maarten..any suggestions

Hi we are headed out on the Fantasy on 1/13 and Disney has changed the port from Tortola to St. Maarten. We have secured a driver for 4 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions of things we should see? It will be just adults. So favorite spots? Restaurants? Bars?

We justt got back form St Maarten. It was tough just in Phillipsburg. Not sure what the rest of Island is like though word on another thread I started was that it was even worse on French side of Island. Good luck!

Once you are back, I would love suggestions. We are going at the end of Feb and have a private tour guide, so we are looking for suggestions on what to try and see. We're easy, hoping to see a beach or a few, eat somewhere, do a little shopping, nothing drastic and no expectations.

That's very kind of you. I'm sure many others are interested in hearing the status of the island. I would normally recommend Orient Beach, but I'm not sure if the beachfront businesses there are up and running yet. We hung out at "Orange Fever" while in St. Martin a few years ago.
