Anybody have any experiences with this port? Can you recommend an excursion?

Been there twice. Once did the usual hotspots by private car tour, the second time most of the same but by catamaran and open-air van, including snorkeling and homemade lunch at a private home. Stops included the volcanoe, waterfall, mudbaths. If you check out port of calls at CC, the operators show up. These are all day tours; don't know if you will have young ones with you. We were 2 adults. After a lot of cruises, I DO feel comfortable using non-ship excursions to save money and not worry so much about missing the boat. If you are too, a google search could find you what you want to do by a third party as well.
Ironically going on the S Car cruise in Jan, returning to St Lucia. This time we're trying fishing!!
Good luck and have fun!

We did a trolley ride around the island, It was not the best choice. I wish we would have gone to the resort side of the island on a beach excursion.
It was the bumpiest ride of my life. It was kind of sad to see how little these residents have, when you think of St. Lucia you think a beautiful place with amazing beaches (or at least I did) we saw one beautiful beach overlooking a cliff area where the Caribbean sea meets the Atlantic. There were some real unmentionables in the grass too :crazy2: but the rest was just a very run down place. I wish my grandkids could have seen it, so that they can realize how blessed they are.

Find a beach in the resort area! Have fun!

zip lining. Not the best we've ever done, but was very enjoyable. We were at the zip line in the rain forest. They had an interesting "gondola" ride up the mountain. And the Guides were EXCELLENT!! This was a DCL excursion.

I plan on doing the Spanish Galleon. It has good reviews and is something my daughter would really love. I'm doing the DCL excursion for this because there is absolutely no other way to book it. I have searched. It's the only DCL excursion I'm doing on my Southern Caribbean. I was going to do the island sights, but I realized it sounded pretty boring for my daughter.
