St. Jude Math-a-thon question

If your child or a child you sponsored has participated in this, about how many "points" would an average child earn? I don't know whether to sponsor my daughter per point or with a flat donation. I also want to know how many points are possible so when she hits up the friends and family we would know what the maximum might be. She is in third grade, fwiw.

I don't remember the exact amount of points but neither one of my girls had problems getting the max amt.

We always went w/ the flat donation.

Funny you should mention this. Two years ago, my oldest son participated in this event. Like you, I had no idea how many points were possible. I made a per point pledge and lets just say....I wrote a $250 check to St. Judes.

It is such a great cause that I didn't mind, but I am more wary now when I decide how much to pledge.

We did a flat amount instead of by the point- and yes my kids have always done the maxium allowed.

Doing a flat donation was my first impulse so we will probably stick with that. Thanks for the responses.
