How do we find out what rooms are best if you want to be centrally located, remotely located, near the pool, etc??? Also, did I miss somewhere where they told us about on-site activites, restaurants, stores, etc. Also.......do we get an upated Member Guide book each year??he one I have is '02 to '03.

At this point it will be kind of hard to know which rooms to request. No one has really seen a plan. That said.... the rooms are all at Disney so none of them could be that bad. LOL!

You will get a new guidebook. However, I don't think they have sent SSR guidebooks since we have not "officially" closed. (I may be wrong there!)

All four initial buildings are grouped in the same "Neighborhood" right by the waterway separating SSR from Downtown Disney. About the only real distinction I can think of off the top of my head would be the distance from the walking path to Downtown Disney.

Buildings 5-12, which are scheduled to open in 2005, are arranged in a completely different Neighborhood away from the water. I suspect that as we get closer to that date Member Services will probably begin taking reservations with the "water view" vs "non-water view" much like they do with the Boardwalk View at BWV.

We made our SSR ressie last week for the last 10 days in January 2005. When I asked MS about views, she offered me a DTD or pool view. Not really caring,we took the DTD.

I'm not sure what other ones may be offered. I guess you won't know until you ask MS.

There was not a complete guidebook issued for '03-'04. The smaller "Vacation Planner" with the 2004 & 2005 point charts was the substitute. Hopefully, we will get all new books for '04-'05.

There has been some information about the plans for the unique restaurant/store area and some other features of SSR in the various Member Clubhouse e-mails. If you didn't get these, you can find them on the Member site under "Member News" and then Vacation Clubhouse. Some Vacation Magic issues have had tidbits as well.
