Does anyone know what the yearly fees are for ssr if I was to buy this year. I found what they are at AKV but not on ssr. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for the information. It seems like the dues are a little high. It doesn't seem like its worth it.

Here is the DVC annual fees at all of the resorts:

OKW BWV VB VB(sub) HH VWL BCV SSR AKV

4.40 4.85 5.63 4.39 4.98 4.73 4.63 4.12 4.62

Currently, Saratoga has the cheapest MF per point.

That depends on each person's own situation, do they stay on-site, how they travel, what they are accustomed to spending, and so forth. For us, staying in a 2br villa at a DVC resort was virtually the same amount of money as for two rooms at a value resort. I achieved this by taking our initial purchase price divided by the number of remaining years, and adding in our annual dues. For some of us, DVC was a great deal. For others, it is not. Dues may be high compared to other timeshares, but other timeshares are not Disney.

How often do they go up? I am so on the fence on this, my parents say its not worth it, but I would really like to know how you decided on this. Thank you again for the information. BTW I do plan on going every year.

I have been twice and have stayed in value. The second time I was not happy and I have reservations next year at a moderate. I do want to stay in something more deluxe, but I could not afford a deluxe for the 12 nights that we are going. I think it would be worth it, but my parents say with the dues going up all the time and I want 200 points to start with that would be almost 900.00 yr to start out with on top of the 20,000.00 to buy in. They are happy with value, and I am not. I have a granddaughter that I would like to take every year. I have not taken a tour, but they said they are only selling SSR for the next six monthes and the incentive that they have now is only available for the next month. I feel rushed to make a decision. I want to make sure I have all the info before I make my final decision.

Thank you for all the information, you have been so helpful. You have given me a lot to think about.:goodvibes

I want to be able to stay at least 10 nights at one visit or 1wk every six months. I would like to be able to have a 2 bedroom for at least one week. I probably would not use it every year though, not sure right now. But I will think about the 160 points, I will think about it to see if that will work for me. I like sept time and we have free dining next year at CBR. But I want to think about this more and hopefully make a decision by the end of this week. Anyways I am off to work and I will be reading the Dis boards when it slows down tonight. Thank you for helping me.

They are selling Saratoga and Animal Kingdom.

The cost per night at the hotels have been going up at a higher pace, plus the additiona; room tax. There is no room tax with stays at DVC resorts.

There are always incentives going on.
